add issue for extra website in finger
Exactly, familiar but special..
Check the top of http://midnightsun2.blogspot.com/ for an idea I had, like it? Hate it?
There seems to be a maximum amount of text you can post here, check Elvira versus Rand I for an example.
Should we dedicate a part of the wiki to amusing/cool/powerful logs? Or are they better fitted into a thread in the forum?
I find this theme quite dull. My suggestion would be to steal the color theme from MS's own webpage, just to get some feeling of familiarity.
We have just set up this wiki with a template which was already available within the site. I was thinking about doing some custom graphics for the topbanner. Does anyone else have ideas of doing something like that?
What kind of graphics would you like to see? Post some links to sites you like the design of and maybe I get some more inspiration!
Or even better, if you are a designer or have creativity get in touch and we can discuss what the possibilities are and what we need.
I am kind of in a hurry now, going out for Valentines, I will add more info at a later point!

This happened today at around 10.10 AM, I have never seen this happening before:
Talos shouts: Ack!!!!!!
Talos tells you: I think the game is crashing.
Talos forced you to: quit

Since you're sorting all the weapons by damage type, should the quality ranking 1-10 be within the damage type, or across all weapons?
By which I mean, if the best acid dealing weapon is only a "4/10" when counted among all weapons, should it be ranked in the "acid" section as a 10 for being the best of that type, or a 4 for being only a 4/10 quality weapon in general?
I was wondering today about how to use sobersong outside of party. What do you think about a songparty on SoA?
I imagine two (or more even) bards singing sobersong in concert: the first one starts it, sobers everyone standing on SoA to a point. Then after the first one is out of mental the second bard would take over, sobering everyone even more and also sobering the first again, then the first can again take up the song so in the end players would end up completely sober.
There is just one problem with this procedure, it would be costly in drinks (some 30-40 longs, let's say 5k), and hard to coordinate. It would be most beneficial when there are as much people there as possible. This service could offcourse also be offered on location but that would cost more imho.
I was thinking, what would you pay for going from obli to sober in 1 min?

I use Dia to map, it is actually presentation software (like microsoft visio).
Dia is a gnome project, running on GTK code so it runs on all platforms, I run this on my windows machine at work, and on linux at home.
To be honest, it is not meant to be used for this purpose and can be a little cumbersome to make maps with. It is not automatic like e.g. Zmud's automapper. You will have to draw all rooms and connections by hand but after a little practice it works quite well.
See image on the right for an example of the result, drelexor castle. This is an export to a .png file, it exports to almost every imagetype you can imagine.
It uses quite a lot of memory if you draw big maps, I wanted to have one file for the whole mud but on my workmachine this is not workable (1Gb RAM in my machine, with other programs running) but for partial maps (up to the size of Manetheren) it is very workable.

Up until now, all my maps has been in my head and fingers. But as I love to just look at maps (plus my aging memory is getting slippery), I would like to know what kind of mapping system you guys use? I've tried the Zmapper for automapping, but it wasn't really satisfying. Zebra uses dia, which looks nice, but I still haven't gotten around to use it.
Is there any other suggestions and experiences out there? Can I bug you to write a bit about your favourite mapping system?
